MAC Address Vendor Identifier

Identify a MAC address vendor automatically from a locally stored IEEE assignment registry.

MAC address vendor identificationLocal vendor registry
Accepts colon, hyphen, dotted or plain hexadecimal notation.

Results appear as soon as an address is complete. The address is checked on Tech Tycoon against locally stored IEEE assignments; it is not sent to an outside lookup provider.

Enter or paste a MAC address to identify its registered organization.

What this identifier can tell you

The result reports the organization associated with the MAC address prefix in the IEEE public registry. It can help narrow down a device during network troubleshooting, including equipment from brands such as MikroTik, UniFi, Ruckus and TP-Link when their registered prefix is present.

Limits of vendor matching

A vendor match is not an exact device identification. One manufacturer can use multiple prefixes, and a prefix may be shared, reassigned or absent from the database. Locally randomized addresses, virtual adapters and manually changed addresses may return no useful match.

Local registry and freshness

The site keeps a local copy of IEEE public MAC assignments and refreshes it periodically. A complete address is checked immediately on this site; no MAC is sent to an external lookup service. New assignments may appear after the next registry refresh.
